NAB X Menicon Tunnel Trek
Last month, Menicon Limited joined forces NAB Charity (Northampton Association For the Blind).
On a unique fundraising walk through the 480m Kelmarsh tunnel, providing an understanding of visual impairment. The 7k trek started at Draughton Crossing parking and follows along Brampton Valley Way through Kelmarsh tunnel in Northamptonshire.
Who are NAB? And what do they do?
NAB are the only local sight support charity that will visit the visiually impaired in the comfort of their own home, providing emotional and practical support, helping them adjust to living with sight loss.
Sight is a remarkable gift but in 2019, there are an estimated 22,500 people with some degree of disabling sight loss in Northamptonshire. By 2030, as the County’s population grows and ages, this number could rise to over 32,000.
Menicon Limited and NAB will continue to work together over the next year to raise awareness and support the visually impaired by collabrating through fun and engaging events.
